Charity
As a child, Georgie walked three hours to fetch water for her family. Today, sheβs committed to bringing clean water to every person in Burkina Faso.
Clean Water impacts every aspect of life.
The Georgie Badiel Foundation is a charitable organization which aims to provide clean water and sanitation to the people of Burkina Faso by building and restoring wells, providing technical training in well operation and maintenance, and creating educational programs for sanitary and hygiene practice. We are developing sustainable solutions that will empower individuals for generations to come.
βMany girls in Burkina Faso must walk for hours to fetch water and cannot attend school.
Today I am breaking the cycle.β β Georgie Badiel-Liberty

Georgie was blessed to be named Miss Burkina Faso in 2003 and Miss Africa in 2004. She launched an international modeling career, working with top fashion brands in New York and Paris. But when Georgie returned to Burkina Faso in 2009, she discovered her sister who was almost nine months pregnant had to wake up between 2 AM and 4 AM to fetch water. This is when Georgie knew she must use her voice and modeling platform to raise awareness and bring African people the blessing of clean water. She immediately began raising funds for other organizations to build wells. In 2015, she decided to launch the Georgie Badiel Foundation, a charitable organization created to provide clean water to the people of Burkina Faso. Since then, her foundation has brought clean water to over a quarter million people in Africa.
